### What is XIDE?

Microside Technology created the XIDE® platform to enable easy proof of concept and quick time to market for IoT designs. While valuable to the professional Industry 4.0 community and STEM makers for professional product development, the platform is intuitive enough for students and makers because it does not require special tools or advanced hardware and software knowledge.

#### X-NODE <a href="#x-node" id="x-node"></a>

The X-NODE modules are Systems on a Module (SoMs), which have a wide variety of sensors, actuators and communication modules. The XIDE platform provides monitoring and control of each X-NODE by sending simple commands via serial UART and I2C communication ports. XNODE modules incorporate multiple connectivity standards, including mikroBUS™ from Mikroelektronika, Qwiic® from SparkFun, expanding its compatibility with a huge ecosystem of development boards and hardware kits.

#### X-BOARD <a href="#x-board" id="x-board"></a>

X-BOARD are expansion cards that make it possible to evaluate sensors, actuators and communication modules quickly and easily by providing connectivity between X-NODE modules. It is possible to connect up to 15 modules through a pair of SIL connectors, stacking them one onto the other. X-BOARD expansion cards incorporate multiple connectivity standards, including mikroBUS™ from Mikroelektronika, Qwiic® from SparkFun, expanding its compatibility with over 1000+ add-on boards.
